Power Rankings: Hawks hold steady

CHICAGO -- Despite a three-game losing streak, the Chicago Blackhawks remain 10th in ESPN.com’s weekly Power Rankings released on Tuesday. That's the spot they occupied a week ago.

Somehow they have stayed ahead of the red-hot Phoenix Coyotes, who come in at No. 11 though Phoenix has tied them in points and leads the Pacific Division while the Hawks languish in fourth in the Central.

With Jonathan Toews out of the lineup and a tough three-game road trip upcoming, the Hawks' hold on a top-10 spot could be precarious. After hosting Toronto on Wednesday, Chicago plays in Ottawa, Detroit and St. Louis over the next 10 days.

Detroit is No. 2 in the rankings while St. Louis is No. 6. The Nashville Predators have surged to No. 3 as the Central Division continues to prove it's the most competitive in the league. The Hawks are having trouble keeping up, going 4-12 over the last 16 games.
