Here’s a look at how some of the Chicago Blackhawks' prospects are doing throughout the world:
Ryan Hartman, F, Plymouth Whalers (OHL), drafted 1st round in 2013: The 19-year-old regained his scoring touch in the Whalers’ last two games with a goal against the Kingston Frontenacs on Jan. 31 and two goals against the Belleville Bulls on Feb. 1. Those were his first goals since Dec. 14. He has 16 goals, 16 assists and a minus-18 rating in 35 games this season.
Kevin Hayes, F, Boston College (NCAA), drafted 1st round in 2010: The 21-year-old senior had his points streak snapped at 12 games in Boston College’s 2-0 win over Providence on Jan. 31. He had a goal in a 3-1 win over Boston University on Monday. He has 20 goals, 26 assists and a plus-25 rating in 27 games this season.
Teuvo Teravainen, F, Jokerit (Finland), drafted 1st round in 2012: Teravainen, 19, is the hottest player in the system. He recently had two assists in Jokerit’s 4-2 win over SaiPa Lappeenranta, one assist in a 2-1 shootout loss to JYP Jyvaskyla and one assist in a 3-2 overtime win over Ilves Tampere. He has 18 points over the last nine games and leads Jokerit with 35 points in 38 games.
Mark McNeill, F, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 1st round in 2011: The 20-year-old had a goal and two assists in the IceHogs’ 6-4 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Tuesday. He has 13 goals, 12 assists and a minus-eight rating in 49 games this season.
Adam Clendening, D, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 2nd round in 2011: Clendening had two assists and a plus-four rating in the IceHogs’ win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. the 21-year-old has six goals, 29 assists and a plus-five rating in 48 games this season.
Dillon Fournier, D, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL), drafted 2nd round in 2012: The 19-year-old Fournier hasn’t played since Dec. 29 because of an upper-body injury. He has 13 goals, 19 assists and a plus-10 rating in 36 games this season.
Tyler Motte, F, Michigan (NCAA), drafted 4th round in 2013: Motte, a freshman, scored a goal in each of Michigan’s wins over Wisconsin last weekend. the 18-year-old has seven goals, four assists, 68 shots and a plus-nine rating in 22 games this season.
Travis Brown, D, Victoria Royals (WHL), drafted 5th round in 2012: The 19-year-old Brown’s offensive production has slowed down over the last few months. He had nine goals and 24 assists by the end of November. Since then, he’s had one goal and nine assists. He does have an assist in two of his last three games. He has 10 goals, 33 assists and a minus-26 rating in 54 games this season. He’s had one goal, four assists and a plus-six rating since being traded to the Royals last month.
Maxim Shalunov, F, Toledo Walleye (ECHL), drafted 4th round in 2011: Shalunov has scored goals in four of his last five games. The 21-year-old has nine goals and one assists in 14 games for the Walleye.
Alex Broadhurst, F, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), drafted 7th round in 2011: The 20-year-old has two goals and three assists over the last four games. He has nine goals, 17 assists and a minus-six rating in 48 games this season.
Brandon Mashinter, F, Rockford IceHogs (AHL), acquired in trade in 2013: Mashinter, 25, scored three goals in the last two games. He has seven goals and five assists in 20 games since joining the IceHogs.
Robin Press, D, Sodertalje SK (Sweden), drafted 7th round in 2013: The 19-year-old has three goals, five assists and a plus-one rating in 41 games this season.
Kirill Gotovets, D, Cornell (NCAA), acquired in trade in 2013: Gotovets, a 22-year-old senior, has three assists, a plus-five rating and 43 blocked shots in 21 games this season.
Mac Carruth, G, Toledo Walleye (ECHL), drafted 7th round in 2010: The 21-year-old Carruth has had a save percentage of .917 or higher in each of his last five games. He’s 7-10-0 with a 3.05 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 18 games for the Walleye.
Sam Jardine, D, Ohio State (NCAA), drafted 6th round in 2011: The 20-year-old sophomore has nine assists, a plus-five rating and 25 blocked shots in 23 games this season.
