Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich returned to practice Thursday after missing Tuesday night's preseason game because of a right thumb injury. Tom Thibodeau said he went through all of practice.

Hinirch had his thumb and right wrist taped during the practice.

Backup center Kyrylo Fesenko went through practice but is still battling the same cold which kept him out of Tuesday's game.

"He practiced today but he's still not feeling well," Thibodeau said. "Tough to be missing time this time of the year."

Thibodeau wants his team to improve execution during Friday night's tilt against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"I want us to continue to improve," Thibodeau said. "It was better but there's a lot of things that we have to clean up. And we're capable of playing better than that."

Specifically, Thibodeau wants his team to play better in the final 12 minutes of the game.

"Fourth quarter," he said. "The fourth quarter's different. We have to recognize that. We have to recognize how we have to execute in the fourth quarter. The intensity level's different in the fourth quarter. Decision making is different. So we have to do better."
