Hinrich (elbow) to start against Cavs

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich will start against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday after missing the past three games because of ongoing problems with his right elbow.

The Bulls are just 5-10 without Hinrich this season.

"Leadership," Bulls backup point guard Nate Robinson said of Hinrich's presence. "Kirk's our captain of the team, especially the guards. He brings a lot of fight, he plays hard, he makes no excuses and goes out there and does his job, hurt or not."

Meanwhile, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau confirmed that Taj Gibson has a sprained knee and will miss time.

"He took an injury," Thibodeau said. "He'll be out a couple weeks, but we have enough ... that's part of an NBA season. That's the challenge that's in front of us to be ready and whoever goes in just get the job done. That's everyone's responsibility."
