Boozer returns to face Spurs, Hinrich out

SAN ANTONIO -- Chicago Bulls power forward Carlos Boozer is back with his teammates after missing Tuesday's practice because of personal reasons and expects to play Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

Meanwhile, point guard Kirk Hinrich says he will not play Wednesday because of a sore right foot. Hinrich, who has missed 16 games this season because of seven different injuries, isn't sure when he will be able to return to the floor. He is still wearing a walking boot.

"Just treating it, resting it and hopefully it will get better sooner than later," Hinrich said. "It's not to the point where I can put pressure on it. I'm still in a boot and hurting to walk."

Bulls forward Taj Gibson will likely miss another week or so as he continues to recover from a sprained MCL. Rip Hamilton did not make the trip with the Bulls as he continues to recover from a lower back injury. His return is unclear. Guard Nate Robinson has sore ribs but is expected to play Wednesday night. Despite all the injuries, Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau does not want to use them as an excuse.

"It's the NBA," Thibodeau said. "Everyone on the team is capable. And whoever you have, you have to just get out there and get the job done. The big thing for us is to continue to concentrate on improvement, build the right habits, so we can be successful at the end."
