Gibson, Hinrich out vs. Kings

SACRAMENTO -- Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich (foot) and forward Taj Gibson (knee) are out for Wednesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings, according to head coach Tom Thibodeau.

After wearing a walking boot on his right foot for over a week, Hinrich is now wearing both shoes again and looked as if he would participate in some of Wednesday's shootaround. Gibson is still wearing a knee brace as he continues to rehab a sprained MCL in his left knee.

"They're making progress," Thibodeau said. "Still don't know. We'll see what we can get done today but they're moving along. so it's good to see them shooting and doing a little bit of running."

Gibson sat on the sidelines in USC sweats as the rest of his team got ready to workout. He hasn't played since injuring his knee on February 24 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gibson said he was running sprints with the Bulls in practice on Tuesday and wants to return soon but isn't sure his body will allow that immediately.

"I'm hopeful," Gibson said. "But every time we get close it's like exactly with Derrick (Rose), your hamstrings, different things just tend to bother you. But it's all about getting strength. We're trying to make sure we don't push it too hard, but it's making progress."
