Noah, Belinelli out vs. Wizards

WASHINGTON -- Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) said he will miss his sixth straight game Tuesday against the Washington Wizards, and forward Marco Belinelli (ab strain) is out as well.

"Not yet," Noah said of his availability for Tuesday. "But soon, probably in the next couple games, [I'll] try to come back."

Both players said they are feeling better.

"My foot's getting there so [I'm] just taking it slow and just trying to get back, trying to get to 100 percent," Noah said.

Belinelli, who has missed the past four games, said he tried to do some running Monday and still felt discomfort.

"I don't think so because I still have a little bit of pain," he said. "But the most important thing is that every day it's better so with that kind of injury we need to be smart."

Noah knows he wants to feel his best heading into the postseason. He wants to get back to a level at which he is close to pain-free.

"Just being healthy," he said. "Being able to run. Being able to do everything I can do. Not be hurt and be healthy for this final stretch."

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau understands there is a bigger picture involved for both.

"They're both better," Thibodeau said. "But they both have the type of injury where you don't want it to linger so we're just going to be patient. Plus where we are in the season, you're winding down right now so we just want to make sure that they're completely healthy."

Thibodeau said nothing has changed for Derrick Rose (knee) and Rip Hamilton (back). Both traveled with the Bulls on this trip.
