The Play: Leon McFadden is flagged for pass interference in the final minute against New England.
The situation: The Browns led 26-21 and New England had the ball at the Browns' 30 with 40 seconds left.
The reason it mattered: For reasons still unknown, the officials called a penalty on McFadden as Brady took a shot to the end zone. It didn’t look like interference at the time, it doesn’t today. And the league admitted as much to the Browns when it told the team the week after the game that the flag should not have been thrown. It was, and a play later Brady threw the game-winning touchdown pass. Plays like that make or break coaches, and this one helped break Rob Chudzinski.
