Draft position needs: Defensive line

Lost: Nobody.

Added: Nobody.

Extra points: This is another spot on the team that is well fortified. The Browns could roll out six or seven different 3-4 scheme linemen and be effective. And the good thing is all can play the 3-4, which will be the base for Mike Pettine’s defense. The Browns have good players in Phil Taylor, Ahtyba Rubin and Desmond Bryant, and solid and versatile backups in Billy Winn and John Hughes (Ol' Stack and Shed). The interesting decision is what to do if Jadeveon Clowney is on the board at No. 4. How do the Browns pass on a guy that talented, even if he has to go from playing in the 4-3 to the 3-4?

Draft likelihood: Low, except if Clowney lasts to the fourth pick.

Then there's this ...

Last DL drafted by the Browns: Barkevious Mingo, first round in 2013. Yes, Mingo plays LB now, but in college he was a down end.

Last first-round DL drafted: Mingo.

Last three DL taken fourth: Adams, DeWayne Robertson (2003), Justin Smith (2001).

Last DL taken 26th overall: Dan Williams, by Arizona in 2010.

Last three DL taken 26th: Williams, John McCargo (2006), Henry Ford (1994).
