Browns open training camp July 26

The Cleveland Browns will open training camp July 26, with a Family Day scrimmage scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 2, at the University of Akron.

That scrimmage will provide the first semi-live look at Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel as they compete for the quarterback job.

With one exception, the team’s 13 practices open to the public will take place from 9:30 a.m.-12:10 p.m., and camp will conclude on Monday, Aug. 18, with the preseason game in Washington.

All practices are free, but the team asks fans to register online and print a ticket for admission. To sign up for a ticket, fans should go to www.ClevelandBrowns.com/BrownsCamp14. The site will be activated Friday afternoon, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 26. Fans can register for up to four practices at the team’s facility, with a maximum of five guests, space permitting.
