UCLA's Anderson expected to play

UCLA guard Jerime Anderson is expected to be available today against Stanford after coming down with symptoms of strep throat, according to a team spokesman.

Anderson missed practice yesterday, was given medication and ruled a game-time decision, but is apparently feeling better today.

Either way, coach Ben Howland had already planned to bring him off the bench. Anderson lost his starting job in Wednesday's game against Cal because he was late to a rehab session on his groin.

Anderson ended up playing well in the overtime win, but Howland is expected to stick with Malcolm Lee at point guard today and start freshman forward Tyler Honeycutt.
