Notre Dame commit likes varying hairstyles

Cameron Biedscheid is ESPNU's No. 26-ranked overall recruit for the class of 2012 and made a verbal commitment to Notre Dame this week, and it wasn't only his talent that was eye-popping on the summer playing circuit.

That's because Biedscheid used to have this hairstyle, with college coaches possibly scribbling in their notes something along the lines of "Kid 'n Play can really play."

More on Biedscheid's stylings from the South Bend Tribune:

Prior to his sophomore year, Biedscheid wore his hair in a high-top fade style that seemingly added five inches to his listed height. Last summer, he chose a closer-cropped cut, but dyed a blonde patch in the back.

"I just like to have fun with it," said Biedscheid, who sports a more conservative style each winter to conform to team rules. "It's just my style."

Listed as a 6-foot-6 forward without the hair, Biedscheid is a high school junior with room to grow before arriving at Notre Dame.

Biedscheid joins forward Austin Burgett as the second top-100 player the Fighting Irish's 2012 recruiting class, and coach Mike Brey also recently picked up a commitment from class of 2011 forward Pat Connaughton.
