Duke, Kyrie Irving preen for the camera

Duke is gearing up to defend its national championship, and here's some behind-the-scenes footage showing off what the team's all about this season.

"Yesterday will not make me champion," freshman sensation Kyrie Irving declares. "Tomorrow will."

Irving also shows off his hip-hop dance moves inspired by Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie."

"I love to get my teammates involved," he said. "I'll get a lot of assists this year. Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith, the Plumlee brothers, I'm throwing alley-oops to them all day."

If all this sounds a bit bombastic, well, it's supposed to be since Duke was shooting video for the team's website, Midnight Madness event and promos to be shown on the scoreboard during games at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

But even if it all was scripted and done in front of a green screen, it gives us a look into Duke's thought process going to the year.

And quotes like this one:

"A champion is never satisfied," Miles Plumlee said.
