Not that the nation is lacking for evidence that the Pac-10 is completely off-kilter this season, but consider this:
Stanford, in its conference opener against California, lost by 26. That's understandable considering Stanford was picked last in the Pac-10 and Cal was picked first in the preseason media poll.
UCLA beat Cal by a point in overtime on Wednesday. Then the Bruins went to Maples Pavilion today and outshot and out-rebounded the Cardinal, only to commit 22 turnovers and lose 70-59.
Jeremy Green scored a career-high 30 points for Stanford, banking in an off-balance 3-pointer to give his team the lead at halftime.
Stanford defeated USC and UCLA in the same week, and is starting to look like a conference contender with Green getting healthy.
Anyone out there want to boldly predict the conference champ?
