Stanford player collapses after win

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Stanford junior guard Jeremy Green received medical attention moments after his team's 81-74 overtime win over DePaul at the 76 Classic on Sunday, and according to a school spokesman, he was transported out of the Anaheim Convention Center for further observation.

Green laid on the floor of the arena near a doorway away from the court, and Stanford coaches and staff hovered in the area as medical staff arrived on the scene. School spokesman Brian Risso had no update on the player's condition, and the team canceled its postgame news conference.

Green is the team's leading scorer this season and posted a game-high 19 points and played 39 minutes in Sunday's win. He had been fighting off an illness throughout the tournament.
