Happy 21st birthday, Jimmer Fredette

It's BYU star Jimmer Fredette's 21st birthday today, and to mark the occasion, the Salt Lake Tribune uncovered some fast facts about the Naismith Trophy midseason candidate that you won't find in the Cougars media guide.

"I am 21 now, I am legal," Fredette said with a laugh. "Hopefully my teammates don’t have any surprises in store."

The junior guard didn’t say if he will have some special company at tonight’s birthday celebration. Provo’s most eligible bachelor acknowledged rather shyly he is now dating a BYU cheerleader.

Teammate Charles Abouo wasn't sure it was OK to reveal Fredette's favorite TV show outside of SportsCenter because it was "edgy," but Fredette is proud to report he's a fan of "Family Guy."

So if you wanted to know a little more on Fredette, who could gain an even bigger following come March, there you have it.

For now, Fredette's fans will be watching closely Saturday as BYU hosts New Mexico in a game that could decide the Mountain West Conference's regular season title.
