North Carolina starting wing Reggie Bullock, who suffered a mild concussion a week ago during practice, is doing more each day. However, he still hasn't been cleared to play in Sunday's ACC opener at Virginia, a team spokesman said Thursday morning.
Bullock, the team's second-leading scorer, sat out Saturday's win against No. 20 UNLV after colliding with teammate James Michael McAdoo two days before in practice.
Sophomore P.J. Hairston started in Bullock's place, and finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
The team is still hoping Bullock, who is averaging 13.1 points and 5.7 rebounds, will be cleared in time to play against the Cavaliers.
