ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia confirmed reports on Tuesday that safety Shaquille Fluker intends to transfer to another football program.
“Many times transferring to another school is for the best and we certainly wish Shaquille nothing but success in achieving his academic and athletic goals,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said in a release.
Fluker was the No. 36 overall prospect and No. 2 safety on the ESPN Junior College 100 when he signed with the Bulldogs in February.
However, he contended with medical issues shortly after arriving and Richt announced by midseason that the program planned to redshirt Fluker this season. Despite depth and experience issues at the position, Fluker never played in a game as a member of the Bulldogs.
