Before Ezekiel Elliott, Todd Gurley and Kareem Hunt begin training camp and their pursuit to be the NFL’s leading rusher in 2018, they will head to Fort Worth, Texas, for the second annual National Fantasy Football Convention from July 13-15.
Elliott, Gurley and Hunt will be among 200 current and former players taking part in the three-day convention that offers fans the chance to meet stars of today and yesterday, but also receive insider fantasy advice from the likes of ESPN’s Matthew Berry, Field Yates and Stephania Bell.
Hunt led the NFL in rushing last year with 1,327 yards and Gurley was second with 1,305. Elliott ran for 983 yards in 10 games last season, missing six because of a suspension, but led the NFL in rushing in 2016 with 1,631 yards. Melvin Gordon, who was seventh in the NFL in rushing in 2017, is also among the players taking part in the convention.
“We take immense pride in making the yearly convention a Comic-Con for football fans and we are thrilled that this year’s convention will be twice as big as last year’s,” said NFFC CEO Andy Alberth. “What began as a convention focused on fantasy football has become something so much greater. The NFFC is now a genuine celebration of America’s favorite sport and there is no better way for fans to interact and engage with their favorite players.”
Several Cowboys -- past and present -- are scheduled to attend, including all three members of the 88 Club: Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant. Hall of Fame finalist Everson Walls will also be in attendance.
The event will take place in the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth. For ticket information, check out www.gonffc.com.
