DALLAS -- For No. 21 Texas to have a shot against No. 8 Oklahoma, it's defense had to give a flawless performance. It might already be too late for that. Oklahoma just completed an 83-yard touchdown drive, a drive that started with Texas hitting hard and looking to have the Sooners stopped early.
But, two defensive penalties, plus an OU fourth-down conversion near mid-field led to DeMarco Murray's 18-yard touchdown run and a 7-0 lead before five minutes were off the clock in this Red River Rivalry.
With Texas' slowly evovling offense, the D better show up, and quickly.
