TD drive puts Penn State back in it

DALLAS -- Penn State running back Stephfon Green scored on a six-yard touchdown run to cap a 67-yard drive for the Nittany Lions, closing the deficit to 10 points. Houston leads, 17-7, with 5:57 left in the half.

Green ran up the middle on a direct snap as quarterback Rob Bolden faked like it was a bad snap.

But the play that set up the score was a 43-yard pass from Bolden to Devon Smith. Before the pass, Penn State had 38 yards of total offense.

The drive came after a 93-yard punt return for Penn State was called back when replay revealed that the runner had stepped out at the 33-yard line (he actually stepped out three times).
