DALLAS -- The last seven minutes, 32 seconds of the AT&T Cotton Bowl have caused a major shift in this game.
Down 19-0 with 4:10 left in the first half as Arkansas lined up for a PAT, Kansas State began to alter the momentum with a blocked extra point and return for a two-point conversion. That made the score 19-2. Since then:
* Kansas State forced a fumble by Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson and Ryan Mueller recovered it at the Arkansas 13-yard line.
* The Wildcats then scored with 26 seconds left in the half on a nice play with QB Collin Klein rolling to his right as if to run and then stopping and throwing back to the left side of the end zone to a wide-open Andre McDonald to make it 19-9.
* Arkansas' second half kickoff went out of bounds, giving the Wildcats the ball at their own 40-yard line. K-State took advantage, driving the ball down the field for a touchdown in less than four minutes to make it a 19-16 game.
We'll see what happens from this point forward, but a lot has changed at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half. And the K-State crowd sure is fired up about it.
