Wes Lunt goes down with knee injury

Oklahoma State true freshman quarterback Wes Lunt's second game got off to a nightmarish start on his first series.

Here's the full news story.

Rolling to his right, Lunt was brought down by Louisiana cornerback Melvin White and immediately clutched his left knee. The university's sideline reporter said Lunt would not return in the first half, and would be re-evaluated at halftime.

He sat on the trainer's table with his left knee wrapped and iced, but left the field on crutches to undergo X-rays.

Lunt was replaced by redshirt freshman J.W. Walsh, who completed 3-of-5 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Oklahoma State leads Louisiana, 17-0.

A week ago, Lunt set the Big 12 freshman record with 436 yards and four touchdowns to go with three interceptions in a loss to Arizona.

We'll keep you posted on Lunt's status.
