Baylor's Carter, A&M's Davis headed to Portsmouth

Baylor senior point guard Tweety Carter has been invited to compete in the 58th annual Portsmouth Invitational, which allows 64 of the nation's college basketball seniors to showcase their talents in front of NBA and international scouts.

This year's Invitational will take place Wednesday through Saturday at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va.

Carter is on a team that includes fellow Big 12 Conference alums Tony Crocker of Oklahoma Sooners and Bryan Davis of Texas A&M.

Carter, who averaged 15.0 points and a Big 12-best 5.9 assists, led Baylor to the school's first Sweet 16 and Elite Eight appearances in 60 years.
