TCU baseball coach gets two-year extension

TCU baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle has been given a two-year contract extension through the 2018 season, the school announced Monday.

"Jim Schlossnagle defines what TCU is about," TCU athletics director Chris Del Conte said in a statement. "While his success on the diamond speaks for itself, Jim has been the ultimate team player. He has the big picture in mind for TCU and Fort Worth. His recent honor of being selected as Team USA's coach for next summer shows the respect level he has nationally."

The Horned Frogs have been postseason participants every season since his arrival on campus in 2003.

Schlossnagle has won more games (388) in nine years than any coach in TCU history. He has a 388-175 (.689) mark with the Horned Frogs and an overall record of 465-222 (.677) in 11 years as a head coach.
