As you might expect, kicker Shaun Suisham is thrilled to find employment with a playoff contender at this point of the season.
"I can't thank the Cowboys enough for giving me an opportunity with them," Suisham told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley. "I'm so happy and excited about it and I feel like I have a lot to offer the organization."
Suisham made great sacrifices to arrive at Valley Ranch in time for Monday's tryout against four other kickers. The Cowboys called him Sunday, but he wasn't able to get a flight out of northern Virginia because of the winter weather. He woked up at 3 a.m. this morning and caught a flight that connected through Atlanta.
"It's been a long time since I've been on the tryout circuit," joked Suisham. "I sort of got used to those charter flights, so it was interesting to be back in the middle seat."
