Marion Barber expected to practice

IRVING -- As the Cowboys prepare to travel to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington for practice on Thursday, running back Marion Barber is expected to particpate.

"God is good," was all Barber would say to reporters in the locker room. Barber missed Wednesday's practice with a swollen knee.

This is an important week for Barber because he played high school and college ball in the state of Minnesota. Barber could press to return to the field sooner because he wants to play so bad.

"He understands that as far as getting his mind and body right," running backs coach Skip Peete said. "It's important for him to play. The last two times we've played in the Metrodome he didn't play."

Safety Pat Watkins (knee) should also be fine to practice for a second consecutive day.
