Only news is about ex-Cowboys

The biggest news in Cowboys land since the start of free agency is about the quarterback's offseason hobby and a retired running back's less-than-warm feelings about a former rival.

Some actual news of at least minor interest was made by a couple of ex-Cowboys on Sunday.

* Nose tackle Jason Ferguson, who spent three seasons in Dallas before Bill Parcells brought him to Miami, was suspended for eight games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Ferguson is an unrestricted free agent after playing the last two seasons with the Dolphins.

* Linebacker Scott Fujita and his Super Bowl ring are leaving the New Orleans Saints for the Cleveland Browns.
