Sparano stays away from Bryant drama

Former Cowboys assistant and current Dolphins coach Tony Sparano stayed away from the soap opera surrounding one of his bosses and wide receiver Dez Bryant on Friday.

Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland apologized earlier this week for asking the Cowboys' top pick if his mother was a prostitute during a predraft interview. On Friday, Bryant denied that he prompted the question by saying that his dad was a "pimp."

"Listen fellas, honestly, I am just here today worried about coaching football right now, so that is my concern," Sparano said Friday. "My job right now is to coach the football team, so I coach the football team. That is what I do and I am excited about it and was excited about getting out there today and doing that."
