Gerald Sensabaugh signs tender

As an update to an earlier story, Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh has signed his second-round tender offer according to his agent, Kevin Conner.

General manager Jerry Jones said Tuesday he wants to sign Sensabaugh to a long-term deal, and both sides are talking about doing it.

The Cowboys placed a second-round tender on Sensabaugh worth $1.8 million for the 2010 season. The restricted free agent had until June 1 to sign his tender.

"We've had discussions about [a long-term deal]," Conner said Thursday. "However, if he does [sign the tender], we're still very confident and optimistic that a long-term deal for both sides is a top priority."
