Just exchanged text messages with Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton. I asked him about his thoughts on returning to organized team activities on Tuesday.
"I'm just ready to get back out there with my teammates and play some football," Crayton said. "I've been itching for it."
Crayton has missed nearly two weeks of the OTAs because of his concern about his status with the team. Crayton wants out, by trade or release. The team won't do it right now and might not do it until the late stages of training camp, if Crayton can't beat out Kevin Ogletree.
I think Crayton will be around because he's one of Tony Romo's more trusted receivers.
But the Cowboys should at least explore the options to see if there is a good offer for Crayton that would make him happy.
