Cowboys sign fullback to practice squad

The Dallas Cowboys signed fullback Alex Daniels to their practice squad.

He originally signed with the Oakland Raiders on April 30 as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati. He made the switch from defensive end to fullback during training camp with the Raiders prior to his release on Sept. 13.

The 6-foot-2, 265-pound Daniels is an intriguing athlete. He ran a 4.73 40-yard dash, had a 36.5-inch vertical jump and 10-9 broad jump and did 31 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench press during his pro day.
