EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Team captain Marion Barber did not follow interim coach Jason Garrett’s new dress code for the Cowboys’ charter flights, according to reports.
CBS 11 and The Dallas Morning News reported that Barber wore a sportscoat, untucked button-down shirt and jeans on the flight. Garrett’s dress code, which is part of his emphasis on discipline, requires players to wear a sportscoat, tie and slacks.
A team spokesman said he had no information regarding violations of Garrett's dress code.
It will be interesting to see how Garrett responds to what seems to be open defiance by Barber.
Barber, a running back who is averaging only 3.0 yards per carry, is active for the game. Garrett could send a strong message by not starting Barber, one of several players who was on Terrell Owens' side when the ex-Cowboys receiver battled with Garrett two years ago.
