Second interview for Todd Bowles

The Cowboys had a mid-morning meeting with wide receivers coach Ray Sherman for the head coaching job today according to a source.

It's expected Jerry Jones will also interview Miami Dolphins assistant coach Todd Bowles, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

A source told ESPNDallas the interview for Bowles will come on Wednesday.

This is the second time Bowles has interviewed with the Cowboys about a head coaching vacancy. In 2007, Bowles, then a Cowboys secondary coach, was one of 10 coaching candidates interviewed. The job went to Wade Phillips.

Bowles is currently the assistant head coach for the Dolphins and is well respected not only in that organization but the Cowboys' as well. If Bowles doesn't get the head coaching job, it's expected to go to interim coach Jason Garrett, he might be in play for the defensive coordinators job. If the Dolphins coaching staff gets let go, Bowles would be free to get any job he wants.

If the staff remains, Bowles would need permission to leave for the Cowboys job because he's still under contract.
