North Texas will have Robert Kraft's vote

DALLAS -- With North Texas expected to bid on Super Bowl L, Jerry Jones and the host committee will get the vote of New England owner Robert Kraft.

Kraft, who arrived in Dallas on Thursday night, said the cold weather will not play a part in whether he votes to bring a Super Bowl back to the area. During the bid process, if a group gets 75 percent of the owners’ vote, then it gets the game. If that percentage cannot be reached then the determination would be made on a yes/no vote in a simple majority.

Kraft made his first trip to Cowboys Stadium on Thursday for a party the Jones family held for the owners.

“It’s amazing,” Kraft said, “I think it shows what a great public-private partnership can bring about. It’s an amazing palace and I would vote to bring it back here again.”
