McKINNEY, Texas -- Tony Romo and playing partner Mark Walker are in position to win the Adams Golf Pro-Scratch for the second time in three years after an opening round 64 on Monday at TPC Craig Ranch.
Romo and Walker will have a three-shot lead entering Tuesday’s final round. They won the tournament in 2009 when it was played at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club and finished second last year when it was played at Lakewood Country Club.
Romo and Walker had 10 birdies and two bogeys on their round, with Romo closing with a two-putt birdie on the par-5 18th hole.
Three teams are tied at 5-under: Henry Cagigal and Collin Stoops, Rory Smith and Brian Mason and Judd Whiteman and Trip Leon.
