As we get ready for the draft, the lockout has prevented NFL players from visiting team facilities to work out. But it hasn't stopped a few from doing it on their own.
The Cowboys have yet to meet in large groups, something that's being planned for next month. Players, however, are working out at various gyms across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Several players are working out at the Michael Johnson Performance Center in McKinney, Athletes Performance in Frisco and at Southlake Carroll High School. Dez Bryant is a frequent visitor to a 24 Hour Fitness in Cedar Hill, where he's lifting weights and playing a little basketball.
"There's always certain ways you can take on the lockout," said outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, who works out at a gym near his house. "I just go along with what I need to do -- work out and keep my teammates ready and just get ready for the season. It's all we can do. We're ready to play and ready to get things going."
