ARLINGTON, Texas -- In a season already filled with injuries, the Cowboys lost defensive end Jason Hatcher to a strained calf in the first quarter of Monday’s win vs. Washington.
Hatcher said he would undergo an MRI on Tuesday and was unsure of the extent of the damage.
“It happened, but it’s one of those things you’ve got to come back from,” Hatcher said.
Hatcher spent most of the game with his lower left leg wrapped in ice and was noticeably limping after the game.
Hatcher, who started the first three games, had been off to a terrific start to the season. He was credited with one tackle before the injury and was replaced by Marcus Spears, who would start if Hatcher misses time.
Spears was placed on injured reserve last year with a calf injury, forcing him to miss eight games.
