IRVING, Texas -- During his first month as a starter, inside linebacker Sean Lee did something no other player in franchise history has done.
He earned the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award.
As hard as it is to believe, that is a first for the Cowboys. The award dates to 1986.
The Cowboys coaches have credited Lee with 36 tackles, more than twice as many as any teammate. He also has two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, three passes broken up and one tackle for a loss.
