IRVING -- Miles Austin has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.
Sunday, Austin returns for the game at New England.
"Excited to get back and it's going to be a big challenge for us and we're all excited," Austin said after Friday's practice. "With a hamstring it's just running full speed and it grabs on you. A hamstring is one of those deals where you can be the toughest guy ever, but once it grabs you, physically you can't get going. I'm feeling better now and I'm excited to go."
On the season, Austin has 14 catches for 233 yards with four touchdowns. The Cowboys have missed his explosiveness and his ability to break tackles and turn short pass plays into long ones.
Despite missing two games, Austin is third on the team with 80 yards-after-catch.
Austin said this is the best he's felt since training camp started.
"You can be over anything, but then you can get it again, who knows," Austin said of his hamstring, which first flared up on the back end of training camp. "I'm 100 percent. I would say I'm over it."
