Derrick Dockery says he'll be ready

IRVING, Texas -- Like defensive end Jason Hatcher, guard Derrick Dockery was able to return to the practice field on a limited basis on Wednesday, but his playing time is not as guaranteed as Hatcher’s.

Dockery suffered a sprained knee and tibial plateau fracture in the Week 2 win at San Francisco, but the Cowboys will continue to use Montrae Holland at left guard Sunday at Philadelphia.

“I’ll be ready if they need me,” Dockery said.

Dockery said he had to knock off some rust.

“It’s just technique with me being off and getting back on football shape,” Dockery said. “I’ve been lifting a lot to try to keep my conditioning up but at the same time you can’t really mimic football drills on the field. Right now the main thing is get my conditioning up and back in football shape.”
