IRVING, Texas -- Tony Romo kept his baby comments short and sweet Thursday.
"I'm excited," Romo said.
It was the first time Romo met with the Valley Ranch media since spilling the beans about wife Candice Crawford's pregnancy Tuesday. He broke the news when asked by a student if he had any kids while appearing at a Cedar Hill High School drug prevention event.
"He married a great girl. This is a big part of his life," said tight end Witten, Romo's best friend on the team. "Obviously I was excited when I got the word. He'll do a great job at it."
Witten, who has two sons, said he wouldn't pass on any fatherly advice to Romo.
"He'll figure it out," Witten said. "He'll figure it out real quick."
