Gerald Sensabaugh has a sprained foot

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys starting safety Gerald Sensabaugh was wearing a walking boot on his right foot Monday. Sensabaugh sprained the foot during Sunday's victory over the Washington Redskins. He left the game briefly but returned and finished with nine tackles, including a team-high seven solos.

Sensabaugh had an MRI exam Monday which revealed the specific nature of the injury. Sensabaugh indicated he wants to play in Thursday's game vs. Miami.

"That's what I'm aiming for," Sensabaugh said as he left the locker room.

Sensabaugh said the goal is to wear the protective boot for one day and then get back to practice, something he missed Monday.

His status for Thursday's game is uncertain and if he doesn't play, the Cowboys could replace him with Danny McCray or Alan Ball, who played free safety last season.
