GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Tony Romo was sacked a season-high five times Sunday by Arizona, continuing a trend of the pass protection breaking down away from home.
Of the 25 sacks taken by Romo this year, 19 have come on the road. The New York Jets, Philadelphia and Washington sacked Romo four times. New England got him twice and San Francisco once.
“They didn’t do anything crazy, they’re just pretty good,” Romo said. “They’re good pass rushers. They do a good job of getting after the quarterback and they played with great energy today. Give them credit.”
The last time Romo was sacked more than four times came last year at Cowboys Stadium when Tennessee got him six times.
