Mike Jenkins hurts shoulder, returns

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cornerback Mike Jenkins joined running back DeMarco Murray in the locker room, suffering a right shoulder injury with 12:49 left in the second quarter.

Jenkins fell awkwardly to the turf after trying to haul in an Eli Manning pass to the corner of the end zone. Orlando Scandrick immediately signaled to the medical staff to attend to Jenkins.

UPDATE: He returned on New York's next series.

Jenkins has battled a number of injuries this year, starting with a stinger suffered early in training camp. In the season opener at the New York Jets, he hurt his shoulder but continued to play. He suffered a hamstring injury Oct. 30 at Philadelphia and missed four games before returning last week at Arizona.

Scandrick would slide into Jenkins’ starting role with Alan Ball moving into the No. 3 corner spot, followed by Frank Walker.

Murray went to the locker room in the first quarter with an ankle injury and has not returned.
