NFL rosters expand from 80 to 90

NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello announced on Twitter, where else, the league will expand the training camp rosters from 80 to 90 starting Tuesday at 3 p.m.

After last year's lockout, NFL teams had 90 players on their rosters because several free agents weren't allowed to report to camp after signing their contracts.

The Cowboys have prided themselves at finding undrafted free agents -- Miles Austin and Tony Romo come to mind -- and by adding ten more players to the roster it increases the chances of doing that.

Having more players at wide receiver and defensive back increases the chances to get more special teams players and create competition in training camp.
