Claiborne surprised Cowboys selected him

IRVING, Texas -- When Dallas traded up from No. 14 to No. 6 to draft LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne, he had no idea the Cowboys wanted him. He wasn't part of the 30 allowable visits from college prospects to Valley Ranch.

It's the first time since 2005 the Cowboys drafted a player who didn't visit their facility before the draft.

"I didn't see it coming in a million years," Claiborne said Thursday night in a conference call with reporters. "I had no idea."

More to come later.
