Jerry Jones not worried over Morris Claiborne

OXNARD, Calif. -- Morris Claiborne is out at least a week with a sprained MCL, but Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he's not worried about his 2012 first-round pick.

Claiborne missed the entire offseason workouts as he recovered from wrist surgery. And now the knee injury, suffered Aug. 1, has the rookie missing more practice time. The injury raises doubts about Claiborne's availability for the preseason opener at Oakland on Aug. 13.

"I have seen enough of him to be really excited about what he is going to do for our team this year," Jones said Sunday. "He has really kept up with everything relative (to) the classroom work. I'm glad it’s a not a serious sprain. He should be back out there. I'm not concerned about it."
