Does A Healthy Witten Make Cowboys Favorite In NFC East? (6:20)

Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless discuss the reports that Jason Witten won't need surgery on his spleen. (6:20)

The Cowboys will host their only open practice in Texas on Thursday night at Cowboys Stadium. Here's a preview.

What is it? The Silver and Blue Debut is a free practice and fans can start showing up at 4:30 p.m. Cowboys officials say the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the Rhythm and Blue team will perform. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Cost: It costs $10 to park, but it's free to enter the stadium. Parking lots open at 2:30 p.m.

What to expect: No pads. The Cowboys are expected to be in helmets and shorts. Shells basically. Don't expect any hitting, because it won't happen.

Who won't practice: Some of the notables include DeMarcus Ware (hamstring), Dez Bryant (knee), Miles Austin (hamstring), Phil Costa (back), Caleb McSurdy (Achilles), Saalim Hakim (finger), Donavon Kemp (knee), Jermey Parnell (neck).

Who to watch: Check out wide receiver Cole Beasley and how he gets open in zone coverage. He's short, 5-8, but uses his size well. Morris Claiborne is another guy. The first-round pick is getting first-team snaps in practices and see how he handles press coverage.

We'll be chatting live from the stadium, so if you can't make it, be sure to come back to ESPNDallas.com and follow along as we describe the action and answer your questions.
