IRVING, Texas – While Anthony Spencer was able to take part in his third straight practice on Friday, the Cowboys outside linebacker is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game at Carolina because of a pectoral strain.
Spencer has not played in the last two games, but this is the most optimistic coach Jason Garrett has been in believing Spencer could play since the injury occurred on Sept. 23 against Tampa Bay.
If Spencer can play, then the Cowboys will have their full front seven available for the first time this season.
“When Spencer gets back we’ve got our pass rush and front and people better duck,” defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said. “That’s all I’m saying. We haven’t had our guys full speed but when we get Spencer back we’re going to be at full speed. We’re not making any excuses. We’re going to play great football and whenever we get that chance it’s going to be on.”
